1. Writing can aid you in organizing your thoughts and ideas or in figuring out what your thoughts and idea are in the first place.
2. Writing down and organizing your thoughts can help you in expressing your feelings, problems, opinions, appreciation, or gratitude more clearly and effectively to others
3. Writing down your thoughts and ideas can help you in processing your emotions. These things also help in healing because a part of healing is accepting the truth. Writing can be a safe place for the truth where you can be open and honest without fear, fear of being rejected, interrupted, or judged while you are expressing yourself.
4. Writing also improves your memory, by writing things down you remember them better but if you can’t remember, at least you have that idea permanently stored somewhere to refer to later. Taking notes is another great memory booster and all of this improves your memory over time as well.
5. Writing out a to-do list is shown to help in the "doing" part.
6. Practice makes perfect, and you’ll be writing for the rest of your life so doing it effectively and efficiently is for the best. The better you write the better you communicate your thoughts and ideas to others.
7. Writing helps with the right side of your hemisphere and improves your imagination and all-around creativity.
8. If you are a good writer then you have an opportunity to influence society and spread awareness, hopefully with positive things. Articles, blogs, speeches, and books can all be great platforms for influencers to effectively communicate their ideas to others far and wide.
9. Writing is a job skill and necessary in almost every job or career you can think of. I mean without writing how would we know our history? Books are essential in teaching and in learning about history. What about manuals, resumes, menus, policies, reports, newspapers, scripts, poetry, and the BIBLE? What do they all have in common? Someone wrote them!
Hopefully, I’ve successfully inspired some of you to write! Write about everything or write about nothing…but write! You have nothing to lose but you do have a lot to benefit.
In a world where you can be anything, BE KIND
